5-Day Arusha Honeymoon

A hotel pickup in Arusha gets you started early for the 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park through changing landscapes. Once there, you'll head out on a morning game drive to get a feel for the park and its wildlife. Around midday, there's a special honeymoon lunch set up at a picnic site with wine, giving you time to relax and take in the surroundings. The afternoon brings another game drive where you'll see the park's famous elephant herds and baobab trees scattered across the terrain. After that, you head to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for the night, where you can enjoy views overlooking the Rift Valley.

This day is dedicated to Lake Manyara National Park with a full game drive covering different sections of the park. You'll see panoramic views across the landscape, find waterfalls and hot springs, and spot over 400 bird species if you're into bird watching. Large elephant herds, giraffes, hippos, and water buffalo are common sights throughout the day. By evening, you return to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge where dinner is waiting and you'll stay another night.

After breakfast, the drive to the Serengeti takes about 4 hours with stops along the way. Once you arrive, there's time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the vast plains and through forested areas. The Serengeti is where massive wildlife migrations happen, with millions of herbivores and thousands of predators moving seasonally across the region. You'll settle into Serengeti Serena Lodge and catch the sunset from the property, which is a highlight of the day.

An early start after breakfast gets you on the road to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's largest intact craters with walls rising 600 meters high. At the crater's edge, you'll see the scale of the landscape and the salt lake at the center where approximately 30,000 large mammals live. Maasai and Hadza people also inhabit the crater floor alongside the wildlife, creating a unique cultural and ecological setting. The afternoon drive back to Arusha takes about 4 hours, getting you back before dinner.
